Czech Pianos Petrof handed over to the Music and Dance College of Mongolia

Two Petrof pianos of the Czech Republic´s production, together with the other training materials, were handed over to the Music and Dance College in Ulaanbaatar on September 26, 2012.

On September 26, 2012  a handover ceremony of two Petrof  pianos took place in the Music and Dance College in Ulaanbaatar, financed by the means of the Czech Republic´s development cooperation. Transportation fee was donated by Vodní Zdroje Ltd. of the Czech Republic. Czech Ambassador to Mongolia Mrs. I.Grollova, Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism of Mongolia, delegates of foreign relation department, the school administrators and press delegates participated at the ceremony. Also delegates of musical instrument selling companies were invited.

            Music and Dance College is one of a kind educational institute in Mongolia which provides primary and secondary education.  Small amount of money is given from the state budget for renewing a training and equipping, etc. The Czech Embassy in Mongolia has been cooperating very  closely with the College for a long time and organizes students’ training and their performances during events organized by the Embassy. During the ceremony the information and contact addresses were also provided during the ceremony about pianist´s international competition. It takes place anually in the Conservatory of Plzeň city and is named after famous Czech composer Bedřich Smetana.
