The Czech Republic providing help for handicapped Mongolians

Presentation of International Labor Organization’s (ILO) development project fully financed by the Czech Republic.

On 27th of September 2011in Ulaanbaatar the evaluation of ILO development project was held in the presence of representatives of ILO, the Mongolian government and the voluntary sectors. The aim of the project is to enhance chances of the handicapped persons in Mongolia to get paid jobs. The representatives of Government, NGOs and ILO took part in this event highly appreciating the role of the Czech Republic who provided the amount of 247.000 USD for this project.  
The situation of disabled people in Mongolia is gloomy - there are guiding substantial prejudice, which worse their social exclusion. The project aims at raising awareness and proving the handicapped people can be a merit in more professions (e.g. carpenter, cook, as well as IT technician).
