First Deputy Prime Minister of the Czech Republic visited Mongolia

Karel Schwarzenberg, the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, visited Mongolia in April 28 – 30, 2013.

Minister Schwarzenberg participated in VII Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies and in the framework of the official bilateral visit was received by H.E. Mr. Ts. Elbegdorj, the President of Mongolia, and H.E. Mr. N. Altankhuyag, the Prime Minister of Mongolia. He also held talks with H.E. Mr. D. Terbishdagva, the Deputy Prime Minister and H.E. Mr. L. Bold, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia. Furthermore, minister Schwarzenberg together with the Mongolian Minister of Construction and Urban Development Ts. Bayarsaikhan opened a “Czech - Mongolian Day” exhibition organized at the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More than 30 Czech and Czech - Mongolian companies were present at this event and others represented by their catalogues. Both ministers, the latter being the Chief of the Czech-Mongolian Joint Committee on Mongolian side, have exchanged their views on further economic cooperation. Minister Schwarzenberg also met with many graduates of the Czech universities during an informal lunch as well as at the closing reception. Many of the graduates are in ministerial positions, members of the Czech - Mongolian Parliamentary Group or prominent entrepreneurs.
As a panelist Minister Schwarzenberg joined two sessions of the Ministerial Conference of the Community of Democracies, held bilateral talks with H.E. Mr. Erlan Abdyldaev, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, and met bilaterally with Nobel Peace Prize winner Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi.
