On October 2, 2013 the Czech Permanent Representative to the UN Ms Edita Hrda, addressed the UN special event on non violence
The special event organized by the Permanent Mission of India to the UN to commemorate the International Day of Non Violence, which is also a birthday of Mahatma Gandhi, was attended by the UN Secretary General Mr. Ban Ki-moon, the President of the 68th Session of the General Assembly Mr. John W.Ashe and many important personalities. In her speech the Czech Permanent Representetive to the UN stressed the strong bond between the philosophies of Mahatma Gandhi and the great Czech leader Vaclav Havel.
