The Czech Republic participated in the Security Council debate on the ICC

Ambassador Edita Hrdá participated in the Security Council debate on Promotion and Strengthening the Rule of Law in the Maintenance of International Peace and Justice, with a special focus on the role of the International Criminal Court.
The debate was organized by Guatemalan presidency of the Security Council. „The Czech republic is strongly committed to the idea of international criminal justice, in particular the ICC“, said Ambassador Hrdá. She also mentioned historical experiences with the violation of human rights and international law during the Second World War and the Communist era in the former Czechoslovakia.
