Ambassador Edita Hrdá Presented her Credentials in Saint Lucia and Barbados

Ambassador Edita Hrdá, Permanent Representative of the Czech Republic to the United Nations, who was also designated by the President of the Czech Republic to serve as the Czech Ambassador to eleven Caribbean States, presented her credentials to the Governor-General of Saint Lucia on October 20, 2011, and to the Governor-General of Barbados on October 25, 2011. Ambassador Hrdá used this opportunity also to sign the long-prepared Convention between the Government of the Czech Republic and the Government of Barbados for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income on October 26, 2011.
