Conference of the Speakers of the EU Parliaments

On April 6 to 8 a Conference of the Speakers of the Parliaments of EU member states took place in Vilnius.
The delegations of the two Chambers of the Czech Parliament were led by the Speaker of the Senate sen. Milan Štěch and Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Mr. Jan Hamáček respectively. Together with other heads of delegations they were received by the President of Lithuania H.E. Dalia Grybauskaite.
On the occasion of the Conference, an "European circle" of twenty-eight lime trees was planted in the Vilnius Botanical garden.
