Congratulations to Jan Vesely on being selected No. 6 overall by the Washington Wizards in the NBA entry draft. This is the highest a Czech player has ever been selected in the history of the league.
Vesely, who last played for Partizan Belgrade in Serbia, will be the first Czech player in the NBA since Jiri Welsch in 2006. We are looking forward to watching Jan in the Verizon Center next season and wish him the best of luck.
