Panel Discussion: Media Freedom in the European Neighborhood: Russia, Ukraine

On April 9, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in cooperation with McCain Institute for International Leadership, Prague Freedom Foundation and Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty hosted a public panel discussion on media freedom in the European neighborhood, with a focus on Russia and Ukraine.
Kurt Volker, Executive Director of the McCain Institute, moderated a panel consisting of this year´s Vaclav Havel Fellows, Ivan Beliaev, Ildar Gabidullin and Natalia Sedletska, former Director of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty´s Ukraine Service Irena Chalupa and Special Envoy for the Eastern Partnership at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs Petr Mares. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic Petr Drulak and Vicepresident of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty John Giambalvo addressed the audience as well.
