New Czech Honorary Consulate opens in Boulder, CO

On Monday July 16, the Czech Republic opened its nineteenth Honorary Consulate in the United States in the city of Boulder, Colorado. The consular post will be headed by Mr. Robert Erben.

The consulate was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by many distinguished guests, including Czech Ambassador to the United States Petr Gandalovic, U.S. Congressman Jared Polis, D-CO, or state Sen. Rollie Heath, D-Boulder. Consular jurisdiction of the Honorary Consulate of the Czech Republic in Boulder covers the entire State of Colorado.

Mr. Erben works as an attorney, he was born in the Czech Republic and speaks fluent Czech. Besides offering help to Czech tourists and notarizing documents to be used in the Czech Republic, the consulate should open up avenues for more active cultural and economic exchange between the Czech Republic and Colorado.
