Czech Government Scholarships for Armenian students in academic year 2017 - 2018

(This article expired 07.10.2016.)

We are pleased to announce that Czech Government granted five full scholarships to Armenian students in 2017 - 2018. Register on-line before September 30, 2016 and come to study to the Czech Republic!

The Government of the Czech Republic granted five scholarships to students from Armenia for the academic year 2017 - 2018.

Three of these scholarships are intended for students interested to study at the Czech language study programme (bachelor, magister), preferably in the fields of energetics and power engineering, IT, technical fields, medicine.

Two scholarships will be awarded to candidates to study at the English language study programme (magister, doctor), in economics, agriculture, IT, environment, energetics and power engineering.

The online registration is opened since July 20, 2016 at the http://registr.dzs.cz/registr.nsf until September 30, 2016. After this deadline the registration will automatically close. Any technical problem with the registration should be discussed with the administrator at registr@dzs.cz.

Please note that the Embassy cannot help you with your registration and will not provide you with any additional information - everything is described in "Guidelines for Granting Scholarships of the Government of the Czech Republic" published on the above mentioned on-line registration page or here http://registr.dzs.cz/registr.nsf/dispozice_eng.pdf . Please read all the instructions carefully.

Furthermore, your age and your military service status is also important. First, nobody under 18 (celebrating his or her 18th birthday after September 1, 2017) should consider this invitation, as his/her application will be canceled automatically due to the immigration laws of the Czech Republic (no underage foreign citizen can live and study in the Czech Republic on his own). Second, given the experience of previous years we advise you to check your military service status. If you did not serve at the Army so far you will probably be called to serve - and not even the scholarship granted by the Czech Government can serve as grounds for not to be enlisted. On the other hand, if you are granted a scholarship and then conscripted, you will not only block other candidates to use the scholarship, but probably cause the loss of this scholarship for Armenia, as it is not always easy to swiftly select another candidate instead of you.

Good luck, we hope to meet you at the Embassy during the interviews!
