Ambassador Jiří Slavík expressed condolences on the death of the 2nd President of the UAE, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who died after a long illness on Friday, May 13, 2022.
Ambassador Jiří Slavík on Sunday, May 15, 2022 handed over condolences from the President of the Czech Republic Miloš Zeman to Crown Prince Abu Dhabi His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who was elected the new President of the UAE by the Supreme Council of UAE Rulers.
In honor of the late President of the UAE, the Czech national flag was hoisted at half-mast at the Czech Embassy for 40 days of the emirate's national mourning.
