The Petrin Lookout Tower in Prague will light up in the national colors of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of its founding.

With the support of the Prague City Hall City the Petřín Lookout Tower will be lit in the national colors of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of their founding.It will happen on December 2, 2021 at 4.25 pm and the inhabitants and visitors of Prague will have the opportunity to watch the exceptionally lit Petřín Lookout Tower until  December 3,  at 7.30 am.
From the top of the Petřín Lookout Tower, the order will be as follows: red-green-white-black
(in a dark blue alternative).
 

The national celebrations of this "Golden Jubilee" will take place in the United Arab Emirates, and the whole country will remember the extraordinary achievements it has achieved in just 50 years of its existence.

The Czech Republic thus reciprocally responds to the helpful step of the UAE, which lit the dominant skyscraper of the emirate oil company ADNOC in Abu Dhabi in Czech national colors free of charge on the occasion of the National Day of the Czech Republic on October 28, 2019 and  year later on the request of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abu Dhabi lit up the Dubai's highest landmark, the Burj Khalifa on the occasion of the Czech Republic National Day on October 28, 2020.

In particular, the lighting of the Burj Khalifa was very positively evaluated in all Czech media and widely shared on social networks.

An interesting history is that the former UAE ambassador to the Czech Republic H.E. Abdullah Al Maainah, who completed his mission in Prague in 2020, is coincidentally the author of the color design of the emirate national flag from 1971, which he designed as a student in the emirate national competition.

The United Arab Emirates is the Czech Republic's second largest trading partner in the Middle East after Israel, and the Czech Republic has very good economic, political and cultural relations with the United Arab Emirates, which it continues to develop. The United Arab Emirates has been one of the most popular tourist destinations for the citizens of the Czech Republic in recent years, not only because of the high level of services offered, but also due to the way the Emirates coped with the COVID19 pandemics, when they were the first countries to report 100% vaccination of their populations with at least one dose and 90% complete vaccination with two doses before the end of November 2021.

The United Arab Emirates concluded a peace agreement with Israel in 2020, and its stabilizing role in the Middle East has risen sharply. The UAE has become a global technology hub and, with its geographical location and logistical capabilities, has become a global Hub.

The EXPO 2020 world exhibition is currently taking place in Dubai, at which the Czech Republic is presenting its dignity in the Czech pavilion with its modern technologies and clever solutions, which could find application not only in the UAE but also in neighboring countries. The culmination of the events organized in the Czech pavilion EXPO will be the National Day of the Czech Republic "Czech Spring" on March 21, 2022, which will be attended by a high state delegation from the Czech Republic.
