The meeting was attended from Emirati side by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation; Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the National Media Office; and Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation.

The two leaders agreed on the excellent state of bilateral relations, mentioning energy, defence industry, investment, education, agriculture, biochemistry, science and research as the main areas of cooperation.

The Prime Minister praised the UAE's role in the region and internationally. The UAE is an open country that applies innovative principles, and it is significant that it is based on tolerance and interfaith coexistence.

After the meeting with the UAE President, Prime Minister Fiala visited the IDEX 2023 International Defence Industry Fair in Abu Dhabi and the national stand of the Czech Republic, which was set up in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Association of Defence and Security Industry of the Czech Republic.

The stand included an exhibition on the 30th anniversary of the Czech Republic, prepared by the Association for Euro-Atlantic Cooperation Jagello 2000.

In his address, the Prime Minister praised the participation of nearly 30 exhibiting Czech companies and stressed the importance of defence and security technologies today. He highlighted the continuous assistance provided by the Czech Republic to Ukraine in its defence against Russian aggression. He personally visited each of the exhibiting Czech companies and got acquainted with their exhibits.

IDEX is the largest trade fair of its kind in the region, and the Czech participation at this year's 30th anniversary edition was the largest in the history of the fair.

As part of the one-day programme of his visit to the UAE, the Prime Minister visited the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, where he learned about the history of the UAE and appreciated the high value of the building and the importance of this institution.
