Credentials handing over in the Equatorial Guinea

The Czech Ambassador in Nigeria H.E. Pavel Mikes visited the Equatorial Guinea from 6 to 11 October 2016 in order to present his credentials to the country's president Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

During his trip H.E. Pavel Mikes also met with Minister of Foreign Affairs, Agapito Mba Mokuy, to whom H.E. presented the possibilities of bilateral cooperation, especially in the fields of defense and security industry (maintenance of L-39 which are in the use of local air forces and training of their pilots or the acquisition of L-39NG), agriculture and education.


Equatorial Guinea is a country with the highest GDP per capita in the region. Its economic situation is but nowadays, like many neighboring countries, marked by a price fall of the oil, which represents the country's main export commodity.
