The Embassy of Czech Republic in Abuja and the Institute français of the Embassy of France in Nigeria organized a joint cultural event on Wednesday 20th of November. 49 Czech books donated by the Czech Embassy are available in the library of the Institute to the general public. A Nigerian student of French read an extract from a world-known Czech book The Good Soldier Švejk. H.E. Ambassador of France and Ambassador of the Czech Republic appreciated the good relations between both countries and mutual cooperation in various fields, including culture. About 50 guests attended the event.

Czech film Cutting it short based on a book by Bohumil Hrabal was screened after the cocktail.
