Prague Quadrennial 2023

The Prague Quadrennial is organized by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic and realized by the Arts and Theatre Institute.
How to take part in PQ 2023?

The next edition of PQ will take place from 8th to 18th June 2023.

a) Main exhibitions: Exhibition of Countries and Regions, Student Exhibition, Fragments

In the three main exhibitions of PQ – Exhibition of Countries and Regions, Student Exhibition, and Fragments – every country/region can be represented only once. Each country/region appoints its own Curator of Countries and Regions who submits the obligatory application form. Each participating country/region is responsible for the organizational, financial and artistic aspects of their own presentations at PQ. The process of selecting the Curator of Countries and Regions is within the responsibility of each country/region, and can be done via an open call, appointment from the Ministry of Culture, local OISTAT Centre, etc. The Exhibition of Countries and Regions and the Student Exhibition are competitive – the Golden Triga Award for the best presentation is recommended by the International Jury, other exhibitions can be awarded Honorary and/or Special Awards.

b) Other projects: PQ Studio, PQ Performance, Performance Space Exhibition, PQ Talks, Best Publication Award

The Curator of Countries and Regions, or any other independent artist, can apply to participate in any additional curated activities by PQ. For these additional projects, there will be open calls, and the PQ Curators have the right to choose, accept or refuse entries.

Artistic and organizational conditions of participation in the PQ are stated in the Statute and Artistic Concept.

The deadline for Applications for the main exhibitions is on 30th November 2021.
