Presentation of the Czech food and food products in Cotonou

Presentation of Czech food and food products within projects to promote economic diplomacy was held from 28 to 30 September 2016 in Cotonou (Benin Republic). The event was organized by the company AMJ Group SE of our compatriot, Mrs. Lada Zapletalova, with the financial and active support of the Czech Embassy in Abuja.
Besides the products of the AMJ Group SE the other Czech products of the following Czech companies were presented to Benin’s entrepreneurs:
- AQUA PLUS Ltd. - disinfection and water treatment
- BONECO Inc. - mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard
- Horakova Brothers Ltd. - refrigeration and freezing technology
- CONTECHIN Ltd. - manufacturing technology - breweries, etc.
- Royal Czech Beer Ltd. - beer
- KOSTELECKÉ UZENINY Inc. - sausages, frankfurters
- MOCCA, spol. s.r.o. - sweets, coffee
- Sarai Food Ltd. - fruit snacks, baby food
- VITANA, Inc. - bouillons Masox
- VEBA - textiles
- WHALLEY Ltd. - canned meat Veseko
The company AMJ Group has been active in the markets of West Africa for long time, especially in Benin, Nigeria, Togo, Ghana and Niger, but it represents currently rather companies from Western Europe and from other continents there.
During the presentation many potential business contacts, most directly to local merchants and some with international outreach in this part of the Africa has been established. The Republic of Benin seems to many neighboring countries as safe transit country mainly due to a working port and relative political and economic stability.
