Representatives of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja attended the official opening of the first African boutique shop of  VEBA, a traditional Czech producer of  woven cotton fabrics. The opening took place in November, 2014 in Lagos (Yaba district). The opening is the first part of a mutual project between VEBA and Nigerian company Tormek Global Services Ltd., and will be followed by the creation of the joint venture company, Veba Nigeria Ltd.

The opening included a competion fashion show of young Nigerian fashion designers, with a prize for the author of the most stylish model. Works of Czech designers were also presented.
