Ambassador met Minister of Interior

On 20.10.2020, Ambassador Ján Füry met the Minister of the Interior, Ambrose Dery. The visit included the handing over of 5 multi-purpose hospital beds, which the Czech embassy gave as a humanitarian donation in the fight against Covid 19, thanks to the kind cooperation of Linet s.r.o.

 

According to Ambassador Ján Füry, the gesture is intended to assist the Ghanaian police service in treating personnel when necessary. He said it was also a symbol of friendship and cooperation between the people of Ghana and the Czech Republic. The Home Secretary, Mr Ambrose Dery, expressed his thanks to the Czech Government for the kind gesture. He reiterated the cordial relationship that exists between the two countries and suggested that the donation of these hospital beds is a testament to that relationship. The Minister stressed that quality health care for citizens is one of President Akufo-Addo's priorities The ceremony was attended by Mrs Adelaide Anno-Kumi, Chief Director of the Interior Ministry, and Mr James Oppong-Boanuh, Inspector General of Police.
