Deputy minister Thomas Mbomba in Prague

On 7. - 10.  September  Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Ghana, Mr Thomas Mbomba, visited the Czech Republic. Among the main topics of the visit were the regional security in the Sahel, Russian aggression in Ukraine and cooperation in cyber security.

Other key topics  included forward-looking fields of trade and investment cooperation, of which the sale of aerospace and weapons technology, the supply of steel bridges and the innovation of Ghana's agricultural machinery have recently become a pillar. The Ghanaian delegation's programme included a series of meetings with Czech companies e in  defence, health, water management and agriculture. Ghana is currently a non-permanent member of the UNSC (2022-2024), with a prominent role in the Regional Association of West African States ECOWAS. Of sub-Saharan Africa, the Czech Republic currently has the most business projects in Ghana.
