"JUMP Hub" in Burkina Faso

On 5 August, 2019, the interactive community centre „JUMP Hub“ in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, was solemnly inaugurated. The ceremony was attended by the Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic, Mr. Romaric Sondo. The project was financially supported within the Czech Foreign Development Cooperation and implemented by Jeunesse Unie pour un Movement Positif (JUMP).  Michaela Solnicka, a Czech architect from the Jakub Cigler Architekti studio who played a key role in the project expressed her gratitude to the Czech Embassy in Accra for financing of the project.

The aim of the project was to construct a centre for networking among young professionals, an incubator of ideas, a place for organising trainings and workshop by JUMP in the field of professional development, but also to create a community centre. A transfer of skills and expertise in the field of sustainable architecture and project planning was also part of the project. The local community was involved in the construction process and benefited from workshops. The centre will be managed by JUMP and will contribute to professional development of the young generation.
