The organization was created by connecting the national chambers of commerce from Germany, France, the Netherlands and Great Britain. The aim is to give assistance to European companies entering the local market, sharing information about the business environment and lobbying for European interests. The creation of EBO can give a real advantage to Czech companies in Ghana as it will enable a direct access to new sources of information on the local market and sharing experiences with other companies. EBO Ghana is the first European Business Organization in Africa.

The aims of EBO project is "to provide a platform for European businesses in Ghana; give European companies access to information about the local market; promote European business standards; help Ghanaian traders to enter the European market after the entry into force of the Free Trade Agreement (EPA); collection and sharing of information on trade barriers for European companies; and the EPA monitoring of the adoption process".
