On 10 - 20 October a Czech gynecological mission took place in Tamale Teaching Hospital, North Ghana. During its tenure, the mission operated continuously in three theaters with a total of 85 surgeries. At the same time, there was an exploratory and contact visit of Dr. Shapps from IKEM Prague in the field of infectology and Dr. Burget from FN Brno in the field of cardiothoracic surgery. Both exploratory visits turned out successfully and it is expected an increase in the number /breadth of scope of MEDEVAC missions in the year to come. The succesful mission to Tamale was followed on October 22-November 3 by an expedition of traumathology surgeons to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. This expedition carried out 50 operations. Medevac's activities are reflected extremly positively in Ghana and show the Czech Republic in the best possible light. Previously in spring this year there were two Czech medical expeditions to the same hospitals.
