Ambassador Karel Hejč handed over prize of the International Children´s Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice

For the third time in a row, a Honourable mention in the competition was awarded to art work received from BeteSeb Academy in Ayer Tena. This year, the awarded student is 15-year old Eden Zekaryias.

Each year, hundreds of children from all over the world participate in the International Children's Exhibition of Fine Arts Lidice in the Czech Republic organized by the Lidice Memorial. The 43rd year of the competition in 2015 under the theme "Light" received 21.380 works from the whole world.

On 7 December 2015, Ambassador Karel Hejč visited BeteSeb academy to hand over the Honourable mention to this year´s winner as well as gifts to authors of the awarded works from all last three years of the competition.

In his address to the students, Eden's classmates, Ambassador Hejč mentioned the history of the competition and importance of arts in people's lives and encouraged the students to follow the example of Eden and two students awarded in 2014 and 2013 who also attended the ceremony.
