The scholarships for students from Ethiopia are provided by the Government of the Czech Republic within the framework of Foreign Development Assistance.  For Ethiopia, there will be 20 available governmental scholarships that are awarded to holders of Bachelor or Master degrees. The instruction will be in the English language. The recommended fields of study are: Geology, Forestry, Agriculture, Environmental studies, Energetics, Engineering, Mechanical engineering, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Finance. The first part of the selection process is based on 30-minute knowledge test that will be followed by a 60-minute English language test. A motivation letter (maximum 1000 characters) would be an integral part of the on-line application, where the applicant explains why he/she intends to study in Czech Republic and how he/she is going to use the knowledge in the country of origin. The best scoring candidates will advance to the second round that consists of the motivation letters evaluation, and in person interview.

Later on, the successful candidates will be asked to submit more supporting documents. The results of the selection process will be available by the beginning of May 2022.
