The Government of the Czech Republic has approved the Government University Scholarships programme for the academic year 2024/2025 and the citizens of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia are included among the eligible applicants for the program.

Granting scholarships to citizens from developing countries for studies in Czechia represents an important long-term part of the Czech foreign development cooperation. Ethiopia, as a priority country of the Czech development cooperation, has been participating in the scholarship program since 2018.

The call for applications is opened for students who hold a minimum of a Bachelor degree. The applicants can choose from a wide range of Follow-up Master and Doctoral Study Programmes at a number of Czech universities. The study programmes offered range from life and physical sciences, technics, economics, up to social and applied aciences. All programs are held in English.

Each applicant is required to fill in an electronic application form available on the website http://registr.dzs.cz/registr.nsf. The application period is from 20 July to 30 September 2023. Detailed instructions for the applicants are published on this website too.
