At the Opening of the “WARRIOR COMPETITION” the Ambassador of the Czech Republic and the Czech Defence Attaché wished success to the Czech Armed Forces

H.E. Mr. Josef Koutsky, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Amman and Col. Stanislav Tesarek, Czech Defence Attaché attended the opening ceremony of the special operations competition so called “WARRIOR COMPETITION” during 14 - 20 April 2019 and based on the bilateral cooperation plan for the year 2019 between the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic and Jordan Armed Forces (JAF), the Czech Republic is represented by a special unit from the 102nd Reconnaissance Battalion from the Czech Armed Forces at the 11th Annual competition, which is held at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC).

During the opening ceremony, both the Ambassador and the Defence Attaché met with members of the Battalion and wished the participating Czech soldiers good luck for their upcoming competition. 

Since 2009 the "WARRIOR COMPETITION" has been held regularly, were members of the 102nd Reconnaissance Battalion from the Czech Special Forces have been participating in it for the fifth time. As well as a special police unit of the Ministry of the Interior has participated three times in this competition.This year's it included 26 teams and 14 countries that will compete in special disciplines. Another 37 armies from North America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania will participate in this contest as observers. The winners will be announced at a ceremony on 20 April 2019, at the Le Grand Hotel in Amman.
