Czech musician Jiří Slavík performed in Ammán on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union

Czech classical music concert was performed in Amman on the occasion of the Czech Presidency of the Council of the European Union, in the presence of HRH Prince Mired bin Ra'ad bin Zeid, the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Amman H.E. Mr. Josef Koutský along with Mr. Ayman Khalaifat, Manager of the Al Hussein Cultural Center, solemnly opened an evening of the Czech classical music in an arrangement of the famous Czech musician and composer Mr. Jiří Slavík. 

 

It was not so easy due to busy schedule program of Mr. Slavík, talented young musician to bring him at the first time to Jordan to play a classical Czech music in this concert after two years of pandemia”, noted Mr. Ambassador.

Mr. Slavík performed masterpieces of the world-famous Czech composers such as Antonín Dvořák, Bedřich Smetana or Leoš Janáček and presented traditional Czech songs in his own arrangement. Multitalented musician, apart from playing a piano, violin and tenor saxophone, also sang the traditional Czech songs.

The hosting Al Hussein Cultural Centre is well known international cultural point with a wide audience background. The cultural evening was attended by many colleagues from the Jordanian diplomatic community and classical music lovers.
