The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman arranged a visit of the delegation of the “Federation of the Food and Drink Industries of the Czech Republic” to Jordan. The Czech-Jordan Business Forum held on October 12th in Amman was attended by 57 Jordanian businessmen. B2B discussions were held concerning different business opportunities between the Czech and Jordanian partners.

On the side lines H.E. Kheled Huneifat, Jordanian Minister of Agriculture, has received Mr. Jan Hnilica, Sales Director of Čerozfrucht Company. This meeting was attended also by a group of Jordanian food producers, and vegetables and fruit exporters.

The Czech-Jordan Business Forum was launched by an opening speech by H.E. Petr Hladík, Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Amman, followed by speeches of H.E. Ziad B. Homsi, President of Amman Chamber of Industry, and Mr. Ghassan Kherfan, first Vicepresident of Jordan Chamber of Commerce, as well as of Amman Chamber of Commerce. The first part of the Forum was closed by a presentation of the Czech Food Federation President Mr. Miroslav Toman.

The Business Forum was the biggest presentation of the Czech food producers and importers organised so far in Jordan; the Forum and B2B meetings should serve as an incentive for both sides to increase mutual trade exchange between the Czech Republic and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
