Jordan commemorates the World Refugee Day by organizing a summer bazaar of products made in the refugee camps

June 20, is the day that the world yearly commemorates the Day of Refugees through the UN.  Were the UN Refugee Office in cooperation with UNHCR hosted the 2nd Refugee Summer Bazar in Amman Municipality.

The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi and Amman Mayor, Yousef Al Shawarbeh attended the opening ceremony. The bazar included 50 booths that sell textiles, local traditional clothing, ornamental jewelry, ceramic pots, porcelain with Jordanian and Syrian decorations, as well as Arabic deserts prepared by women from refugee camps. In addition to UNHCR representatives, the diplomatic corps including Ambassador of the Czech Republic Josef Koutsky attended the opening of the bazaar, which will be open for three days. Jordan hosts refugees from Palestine, Iraq and Syria on its territory.
