MEDEVAC Health Assistance Program in 2017

During the second half of the year 2017, eight medical teams from the Czech hospitals came to Jordan within the governmental program of health care for Syrian refugees in Jordan (MEDEVAC) to perform 422 surgeries (during the entire year of 2017, 875 surgeries had been performed by MEDEVAC in Jordan).

At the beginning of December 2017, the group of specialists from the Hospital Na Bulovce closed the curriculum of a medical program of the Ministry of Interior of the Czech Republic MEDEVAC in 2017. In 2017, 14 such groups from various Czech hospitals came to Jordan, to provide medical care to Syrian as well as Jordanian patients, who would not have had a chance to afford the treatment they need. In total, there had been 875 surgeries performed on 855 patients during 2017. These missions had greatly promoted the reputation of the high expertise of the Czech doctors. The Czech Republic is considered a significant contributor to the solution of humanitarian consequences of the critical situation in the region. Preparing of the schedule for the year 2018 is currently in process.

These medical teams visited Jordan during the second half of the year 2017:
