New rules for visa appointments valid from December 1, 2017

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman informs that a new system to book appointments for visa applications is effective from December 1, 2017

A / For short-term Schengen visas (e.g. visas for the consecutive stay not exceeding 90 days), the reservation of appointments will be done by the Czech Republic Visa Application Centre of the VFS Global company (www.vfsglobal.com) in Amman, Sweifieh, Galleria Mall, Abdul Raheem Al-Haj Moh´d Str., Building No 56, 4th floor, Tel: +962 6 5001628, email info.czejor@vfshelpline.com.! For short-term Schengen visas appointments will be not scheduled via e-mail.

Only family members of CZ/EU citizens ( e.g. husband, wife, minor son or daughter of CZ/EU Citizen) travelling with the citizen to CZ  can apply directly at the Embassy. It is recommended to inform the consular section beforehand at embassy_amman@mzv.cz.

B / For long-term visas (e.g. visas for the consecutive stay over 90 days) and Employee Cards, a mandatory system of email requests via: visa_amman@mzv.cz only (beginning on November 27, 2017) is in place.

The rule one applicant, one e-mail, applies. The only exception concerns minors who submit their applications together with their parent or other representative by Law.

The e-mail must always include the following attachments:

(1) a filled questionnaire (see and download below the .docx format form);

(2) a copy of the data page of the travel document in pdf/jpg format;

(3) a copy of the document proving the purpose of the planned stay in pdf/jpg format (eg. a certificate of study, ...).

Important notice: e-mail that will not contain above-mentioned attachments or will contain the attachment in different than above-mentioned formatwill be considered invalid!

Capacity of the Visa Section for long-term visas and employee cards is 6 appointments per week, 24 appointments per month.

After receiving a valid request, the appointment will be confirmed via e-mail. Appointments are granted exclusively according to the order of the incoming e-mails in the mailbox.

The appointments are fixed and cannot be changed, either by the applicant, or by the Consular and Visa Section of the Embassy!

If the applicant eventually cancels an appointment, it is not possible to set a new one without receiving a new request.
