Pyrotechnic team of the Army of the Czech Republic conducted a training for Jordanian soldiers

On September 20th, 2017, H.E. Ambassador of the Czech Republic Petr Hladík and Defense Attaché Colonel Libor Kutěj visited the training base of the engineering corps of the Jordan Armed Forces located near Zarqa.

This visit was related to the completion of the training of 19 members of the Jordan Ground Force in the field of the deactivation of improvised explosive devices. The training was conducted from September 10th to 21st, 2017 by a five-member pyrotechnic team of engineering corps of the Army of the Czech Republic led by Major Michael Augustin.  This has been the fourth year of organizing such training, however upon the request of the Jordanian side this year´s training was separated from the broader CBRN training activities.


During the visit H.E. the Ambassador had a meeting with the commander of the Royal Engineer's College Brig-General Khaled Al-Shantir, which was dedicated not only to the content and results of this training, but also to further deepening cooperation and extending such activities in the years to come.
