Thanks to the Czech Cardio medical team more children got a chance for healthy hearts

From 24th February till 5th March 2017, the Czech Cardio Paediatric medical team from Motol University Hospital had finished their 5th mission in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.

During this mission the Czech top doctors again focused on children with congenital heart defects, as they performed their operations on 12 Syrian children in Al Khalidi Hospital and Medical Center in Amman. This medical team consisted of M.D. Roman Gebauer, M.D. Petr Bukovský and M.D. Pavel Vojtovič has again proved that Czech Republic provides help where it is needed and that MEDEVAC humanitarian medical program - which is now being conducted in Jordan in its fifth year - has been deservedly appreciated at the highest level. Given that the Czech government is interested in further continuation of this successful program in Jordan, M.D. Vilém Rohn, head of the department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Motol University Hospital, had joined this mission in order to explore the possibility of expanding the Czech assistance in the field of cardiac surgery for adults.
