The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Czech Republic celebrated the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations

On 29 April 2019, Jordan and the Czech Republic celebrated the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries by a concert of Czech artists Kateřina Englichová (harp) and Jitka Hosprová (viola) at King Hussein Cultural Center, which started at 7 pm.

The program included classical works by Czech authors, as well as a part of Smetana's poem “My Country” (a symphonic poem about Vltava) and modern tracks by French composers, including contemporary authors of Czech origin. The concert was attended by representatives of Jordanian officials, local diplomatic corps, members of the Czech community living in Jordan, and members of the Czech Parliament´s Foreign Affairs Committee, led by its chairman H.E. Mr. Lubomír Zaorálek. As the delegation was present in Amman to hold discussions with its counterpart committee and selected members of the Jordanian government.
