The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman only accepts visa applications for citizens and holders of passports issued by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the Palestinian Authority (only in case of residents of the West Bank), plus:

Since 1st of June 2023 according to the amendment of the Act No 326/1999 Coll., on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic and Amendment of Certain Acts:

  • in case of short term visas - applications of residents of Jordan and the West Bank who legally and without interruption reside in the respective country for more than 1 year
  • in case of long term visas/permits/employee cards/permanent residencies - applications of residents of Jordan and the West Bank who legally and without interruption reside in the respective country for more than 2 years

Attention to applicants for employee cards: according to the goverment decree since 1st January 2024 the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Amman does not accept employee card applications outside of Highly Qualified Worker and Key Research Staff Programs.


Providing a proof of legal residency is the responsibility of the applicant.


Visa applications are accepted only through the VFS outsourcing company in Galeria Mall, Amman. Fixing an appointment via the electronic system is necessary.

For applicants from the West Bank the applications must be submitted at the VFS Global office in Ramallah - Since 26th December 2023 the VFS Global office for applicants from the West Bank is going to be moved to a new location - Wall Street Building, Al Masyoun, Ramallah


Official Board

Official Board - in case an official document is not possible to be delivered to an applicant, it will be in accordance with §169b par. 4 of Act No. 326/1999 Coll. on the Residence of Foreign Nationals in the Czech Republic, officialy posted for 15 days at the web of the Embassy.
