The Promotion of Czech „Smart City“ Solutions

After the conference on Czech-Turkish cooperation in the field of smart cities on October 12, Czech companies, which are experts in the field of smart traffic control systems, made a presentation in the designated cities with the organization of the Czech Embassy. Transportation and informatics departments of Ankara, Kayseri, Gaziantep and Mersin metropolitan municipalities had the opportunity to get to know Aspiro, Cross Zlín a.s., Incinity s.r.o. and AŽD Praha s.r.o. services more closely.

Turkey has well-developed infrastructure and a network of highways. Considering that millions of people and vehicles are on the road every day in the country, thanks to smart traffic control processes and technologies, citizens travel more safely and quickly. At the same time, local resources are used more effectively. For all these reasons, we can say that it is very important for many Turkish stakeholders to establish these systems that connect various solutions for the analysis of large volume data.

Turkey is a country with the most cities over “1 million” residents across Europe and more than 76% of the population lives in those cities. For this reason, we will continue to organize similar events and cooperate with municipalities on similar issues. In the coming period, Union of Turkish Municipalities plans to organize "Smart Cities Congress" by February or March 2021 which was visited last year by more than 25,000 people. Again experts from Czech Republic will be considered as guest speakers and we will continue to explain the services and solutions offered by Czech companies in the new provinces after the congress.
