Presentation of the Visegrad group to students of Turkish Diplomatic Academy

Visegrád Embassies in Ankara presented on June 12, 2018, current priorities of the V4 cooperation to students of the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey in Ankara.
 

The Ambassadors and Deputy Heads of the Embassies of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia visited on June 12, 2018 the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey in Ankara. The delegation was received by Mrs. Burcu Cevik, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Directorate for the Diplomatic Academy, who introduced to the Ambassadors new batch of Turkish diplomats and the system of diplomatic training at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

During their presentations, Ambassadors of the Visegrad countries focused on the introduction of the establishment and history of the Visegrad group; the political, cultural, social and economic aspects of V4 collaboration, including important principles and goals; the functioning of the International Visegrad Fund; and broad aspects of V4 cooperation with partner regions and other countries with a strong emphasis on cooperation with Turkey, Western Balkans and countries of Eastern Partnership. The presentations met with interest of new diplomats of the Turkish Foreign Ministry and were followed by a vivid questions and answers session.

Ambassadors also presented joint activities of the V4 group in Turkey that have been organized under the auspices of the Hungarian Presidency during the last year. Starting from July 1, 2018, the rotating Visegrad Presidency will be chaired by Slovakia till June 30, 2019.
