Beginning of cooperation with Cermodern

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ankara is well aware of the fame and business potential of the Czech design and therefore started to search for appropriate places to display the art pieces of the Czech authors. One of such places is more than suitable for that in Ankara – the biggest gallery of modern art in the Turkish capital – Cermodern.

With its unique size of foyer consisting of more than 400 m2, its own bravely designed art shop together with its terrace suitable for live music performances, the Cermodern is suitable and prestigious address for any type of modern art in Ankara. This can be easily proved looking at the number of events and art workshops taking place at the gallery. The meeting between the Ambassador of the Czech Republic in Ankara Mr. Pavel Kafka and other representatives of the Embassy with the management Cermodern has confirmed the potential for mutual Czech-Turkish cooperation and decision to start concrete art projects was wade. Hence, since the beginning of this spring, Turkish audience can get ready for the photo-exhibition of the Turkish author living in Prague Musa Bektas, pictures, graphic design works and illustrations of Jiri Votruba and the peak of the cooperation should be the organization of Czech Design Days in autumn. Simply, from the point of view of Czech design in Turkey, upcoming period will be very busy. We are looking forward for that!
