"Filmed in Prague" - beauties of Prague through the camera lenses of Musa Bektash

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Ankara together with TED (Turkish Education Association) inaugurated on February 21, 2019 in the premises of Ted Kolej Ankara the exhibition of photographs taken by Turkish photographer Mr. Musa Bektash in Prague. The exhibition portrays the beauties of Prague through the eyes of foreign movie makers and through the camera lenses of Musa Bektash.

Musa Bektaş, member of TED (Turkish Education Association) since 2011 and currently living in Prague, started his project ‘Filmed in Prague’ after being inspired by seeing a shooting scene of the French-American movie „Edmond“ during his walk through Prague. He has photographed around 110 photos for his project and published 102 of them on Instagram. From the published photos, 80 are depicting movie scenes, 20 different scenes from TV series (among others Genius: Einstien, Outlander, Burning Bushes, and Istanbullu Gelin) and 2 are taken from different ads. The photos show among others the famous icons of Prague - the Charles Bridge, Hradčanské náměstí, Rudolfinum or the Prague Castle. The main aim of this project is to show Prague through the eyes of foreign movie makers and, most importantly, through camera lenses of Musa Bektaş, a Turkish passionate photographer who simply fell in love with Prague.

The exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Selcuk Pehlivanoglu, President of Turkish Education Association, Mr. Pavel Kafka, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Turkey, and the author of the exhibition Mr. Musa Bektas in the premises of Ted Kolej Ankara. The exhibition will be further presented in Adana, the birthplace of Musa Bektash, and other premises in Ankara in the upcoming months.
