Live Glass Blowing and Ceramics Performance at CerModern’s yard

The Embassy of the Czech Republic to Ankara has organized live glass blowing and ceramics performance at the CerModern’s yard between 28th  and 29th September.

Talented Czech ceramıc and porcelaın artıst Roman Sedına set up a pop-up ceramıcs workshop and Jakub Jandourek and Mıchaela Tomıskova who form the award-wınnıng DECHEM studıo, and Marek Effmert from Lasvıt hosted glass-blowıng workshops for publıc. Hundreds of visitors have stopped by and tried their skills.

The event was part of the Shapes&Shapers: Contemporary exhibition which will take place in the gallery till the end of October. Master pieces of all performing artists are part the this exhibition. Marek Effmert is represented by his fabulous chandeliers, Roman Sedina by his unique ceramic vases and DECHEM studio is one of the biggest exhibitors.

We are confident that this was only beginning for Czech designers in Turkey. Roman Sedina is already in touch with Kutahya porcelain, Czech artists are very much present in the Pasabahce series and we are looking forward to Marek Effmert’s arrival next year for the Eskisehir glass symposium.
