EU Deputy Heads of Mission in Turkey visited Istanbul, one of the crucial cities for the upcoming Turkish municipal elections (March 31, 2019), where they discussed election campaign and political parties´ strategies with a broad spectrum of Turkish political scene representatives, among others the ruling party AKP metropolitan mayor candidate and Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Mr. Binali Yildirim, and the opposition candidate of CHP party, Mr. Ekrem Imamoglu. The delegation had the chance to exchange views on the election campaign, possible outcome of the elections and the probable post-election development with wide range of think-tank experts, academicians, economists, journalists and other representatives from political parties and circles.
