100 years of the diplomatic relations between Greece and Czechoslovakia

On May 25, 1920, Charalambos Simopoulos presented his credentials to President Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk as the first Greek Ambassador to Czechoslovakia, and this year we commemorate the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Greece and Czechoslovakia.
The first Czechoslovak Ambassador to Greece, Karel Mečíř, began working in Athens two years later and presented his letter of credence on April 8, 1922.
Charalambos Simopoulos (1874 - 1942) was a prominent Greek diplomat who was appointed Greek High Commissioner in Constantinople in 1922 , later served in Washington in the 1920s and was the Greek Ambassador to London during World War II.
Karel Mečíř (1876 - 1947) was a Czech journalist, writer and diplomat, Ambassador of Czechoslovakia to Belgium and Greece.
