Czech Embassy in Baku co-organized a discussion on EU's future approach towards the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership

On 19 October 2022, the Embassy of Czech Republic in Baku and the ADA University (Azerbaijani Diplomatic Academy) co-organized a panel discussion on EU's future approach towards the South Caucasus and the Eastern Partnership. The event took place at ADA in the framework of the Czech EU Council Presidency.

The panelists at the discussion moderated by ADA Vice Rector Fariz Ismailzade included the Deputy Head of Mission of the Czech Republic Mr. Daniel Putík, AMO Research Fellow Mr. Pavel Havlíček and the Director for Policy Research, Analysis and Publications at the ADA Institute of Development and Diplomacy Mr. Damjan Krnjević Mišković. Questions about challenges and opportunities for the EU with regard to the South Caucasus and Azerbaijan after the first European Political Community Summit in Prague, role of the Eastern Partnership after the granting of a candidate status by the EU to Ukraine and Moldova, future of EU-Azerbaijan relations and the role of the Czech EU Presidency therein steered the debate of the panel and the ensuing Q&A session. A guest of the Czech Embassy, Mr. Pavel Havlíček gave an interview to local media and met representatives of local think tanks during his visit, contributing to a much needed expert discussion between the EU and Azerbaijan.
