Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamáček visited Azerbaijan

Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic Jan Hamáček, accompanied by deputies and business delegation,  visited Azerbaijan on 13-15 March 2016. During his visit he met President Ilham Aliyev, Speaker of Milli Mejlis  Oktay  Asadov and Prime Minister Artur  Rasizade.

Visit of the Speaker was opened by meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. Both statesmen agreed that current visit of the delegation of the Czech Parliament created opportunity for another development of dynamic bilateral relations in various spheres. Possibility of another co-operation in number areas, as energy, agriculture and tourisms, were considered. Both sides also discussed situation in Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

During meeting with Chairman of Azerbaijan`s parliament Oktay Asadov the important role of the Joint Declaration on Strategic Partnership for the development of the bilateral relations was stressed. Speakers also discussed current level of economic co-operation and consider other ways of its development.

Economic issues were also discussed with Prime Minister Artur Rasizade. Prime Ministerstated that the Czech Republic is a reliabkle partner of Azerbaijan.

His stay in  Azerbaijan Speaker finished by visit of Baku Slavic University where he met Rector of the University Asif Hajiyev, teacher and students of the Czech language.
