During his visit the President met his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister Artur Rasizade and Chairman of Milli Majlis Ogtay Asadov.

egotiations with Azerbaijani leaders encompassed a broad spectrum of themes, which was dominated by economic issues. Promotion of mutual economic relations was underlined by the presence of both Presidents in the opening of Azerbaijani-Czech business forum, attended by representatives of more than 40 Czech companies.

The President M. Zeman also visited Baku State University. He held a speech followed by a lively debate covering various issue of international relations, mutual Czech-Azerbaijani relations, as well as opportunities to study in the Czech Republic. The last day of the visit the President saw the oil terminal Sangachal and paid a visit to the Museum of the National Flag.

There was a meeting with former Azerbaijani students at Czech universities at the very end of the visit. State visit of Milos Zeman arroused significant media interest and attracted the attention of Azerbaijani public as well.
