Ambassador Ekert met the chairwoman of the "Clean World" Public Union

On the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, the Czech Ambassador to the Republic of Azerbaijan Milan Ekert met the chairperson of the "Clean World" (Təmiz Dünya) Public Union, Madam Mehriban Zeynalova, on 25 November 2021.

Ms Zeynalova informed the Ambassador about the help she and her colleagues are providing to women and children in a shelter for victims of domestic violence in Baku as well as about the challenges Azerbaijan is facing in eliminating gender-based violence. The discussion also focused on various forms of assistance the Czech Republic can provide to Azerbaijan in tackling this problem against the background of the COVID-19 pandemic.
