Screening of "The Joke" in Baku

The 1969 Czechoslovak film “The Joke” by Jaromil Jireš, based on a novel by Milan Kundera, was screened at the Landmark Baku Cine Club on 2 April 2022, with Azerbaijani and French subtitles.
The event organized by the Czech Embassy took place in the framework of the Francophonie Days and on the occasion of Milan Kundera's 93rd birthday. Ms Shabnam Asadova from the Azerbaijan State Translation Centre is responsible for translating the subtitles into Azerbaijani.
