To succeed, projects must

• develop meaningful cooperation and ensure active involvement of at least 1 entity from the Eastern Partnership countries, including Azerbaijan, and at least 3 of the "Visegrád Four" countries (the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia)
• clearly address one of the programme objectives from one of the 7 focus areas (Culture and Common Identity; Education and Capacity Building; Innovation, Research & Development, Entrepreneurship; Democratic Values and the Media; Public Policy and Institutional Partnership; Regional Development, Environment and Tourism; Social Development).

Each year, 3 deadlines (1 February, 1 June and 1 October) are set for submitting project proposals under the Visegrad+ Grants program.
